When the sin of the entire world was placed on Jesus, God turned His Face away from Him, so how can we live in sin and expect to live in security? The Bible tells us (in the New Testament—1 John 5:18 NKJV) that if we keep ourselves, the evil one will not be able to touch us.

It's important we stay within the confines of God's protection so that the enemy doesn't steal our blessings. It's important that we keep ourselves.
