The rules are simple! At the start line, both players roll at the same time. The player with the highest number rolled will move his or her truck up the spaces first followed by the player with the lower roll. Note: If both players roll the same number, players must roll again.

The truck that is the furthest on the track is "the lead truck" and will go first on every new turn. The lead player will change if their truck passes the current lead truck. Anytime trucks land on the same space both players will roll at the same time.

As the trucks advance spaces, there are three "Action Spaces"

1. Red (Red Car or a red space) When a truck lands on a red space that player loses the next immediate turn.

2. Yellow (Yellow space or in our game "The Yellow Barrel" Trucks that land on this space will be going back spaces! This is determined by what the opponent player rolls on one six sided die. For demonstration on our video we rolled a separate "yellow" die whenever a player landed on the yellow barrel space.

3. The Green Space. We used a green car a this space for our game. You can simply make a green "space" using craft paper etc. Any truck landing on this space gets to roll again immediately after landing on the space and then moving their truck up the number of spaces rolled.

We have found that having at least 32 to 48 spaces makes for a great race. For this track we used one six sided die to roll our trucks back and forth on the board. If your track is longer, you may find that using 2 six sided die helps speed the race along.

Check out some of our other Tabletop races for more ideas. This game simply needs to be even for both sides of the track and if you really put your thinking cap on you could make as many tracks as you need for more racers to race at the same time!
