Karimunjawa Island is for sure one of the most beautiful islands in Indonesia. The more shocked I was when I realized that not many foreigners (and also not many locals) know that island. But I'm sure that Karimunjawa will become more well known amongst tourists and also Indonesian citizen due to new available flights directly from Jakarta to Karimunjawa in April this year (if there's no delay). That's why I call Karimunjawa 'the newest island or tourist destination in Indonesia'.

How can I get to Karimunjawa Island:
(1) Ferry Jepara - Karimunjawa (you can bring car or motorbike, 5 hours ride, price: $6)
(2) Speedboat Jepara - Karimunjawa (passengers only, 2 hours ride, price: $17)
(3) Ferry Semarang - Karimunjawa (maybe 10 hours)
(4) Flight Semarang - Karimunjawa
(5) Flight Jakarta - Karimunjawa
