PUBE - CD-R

Описание к видео PUBE - CD-R

I recently received a package -- addressed to "Jimmy le Dog" -- by a then-unfamiliar "D-Baggy". As I soon discovered, "D-Baggy" is some sort of pseudonym taken by a member of Boston's Cavemen, the very same Boston trash-rock group I covered months back (which you should absolutely listen to if you haven't already, they're not nearly as trash as they sound: https://paleoboys.bandcamp.com/album/.... No clue if "D-Baggy" is the same person who originally sent me that "Band In B.C." cassette, mysterious (read: disconcerting) brown stains lining the j-card and all, but the important thing to make note of here is the package's contents.

Included alongside a single, nondescript CD was a handwritten note -- detailing the group's massive success as "musicians" following my "review" of their material, stating that they're now a "fat cat w/ enuff cred to open a HxCx B+B (bed+breakfast)" -- which had its upper rightmost corner dotted with a lipstick stain, and its bottommost with a Youtube link I couldn't decipher for the fuckin' life of me. But as expected, it did next to nothing to explain what this "Pube" thing is. See that four-lettered sticker on the top of the video there? That's literally the only thing fixed on the CD's cardboard sleeve. Inside lay a similarly unremarkable track list printed on a poorly-cut scrap of paper -- save for those two things, there's jack shit to say on Pube. After a handful of fruitless Google searches (understandably, the word "pube" raises some questionable results on any search engine), I was able to dig up a barren Bandcamp page (https://pube.bandcamp.com/track/back-...) that states the project originates from Philadelphia, and since the envelope lists the same thing, one could assume Pube is from Philly. That's all I got.

Upon realizing my PC doesn't actually have the disc drive needed to rip this CD, I managed to record this EP through a jury-rigged chain of male-to-male audio cables and a pretty shitty CD player. After working through all that shit, it's safe to say that I can't be arsed with any other music-related tasks for the day. Just take this rip and scram. Somewhat similar in sound to The Caveman, Pube is stupid, shit-tier budget rock that's way more captivating than it ever deserves to be, this time backed by a drum machine, scratchy guitar wails, and a cadence more akin to punchy, pulsating hardcore. I genuinely think this shit is really, REALLY strong, so to answer your question, D-Baggy:
