The new S-Cross and S-Cross Plus variants effectively mirror the specification of the existing AllGrip and AllGrip Prestige sans all-wheel drive, though the Plus lacks the Prestige's panoramic sunroof.

Engines
All versions of the 2024 Suzuki S-Cross are powered by the company's venerable 1.4-litre Boosterjet four-cylinder turbo petrol engine. Outputs are quoted at 103kW (5500rpm) and 220Nm (1500-4000rpm).

The turbocharged four is teamed with a six-speed automatic with paddle shifters as standard, with drive sent to the front wheels in S-Cross and S-Cross Plus models, while AllGrip versions get an on-demand all-wheel drive system with four modes.

Suzuki Australia has previously confirmed it would bring in the S-Cross Full Hybrid in 2024, which uses a 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine, a 140V lithium-ion battery and inverter, a motor generator unit, and 12V lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries. Quoted outputs are 85kW and 138Nm.

t's mated with what Suzuki calls an Auto Gear Shift, a six-speed automated manual transmission. There's no clutch pedal and the onboard computer picks the gears, but the system has to dip the clutch for you, engage the new gear and then carry on.
