Nestled in the Mt. Hood National Forest on the shores of Timothy Lake, Stone Creek Campground is the newest addition to the area, officially opening for the 2024 season. This peaceful escape, located between Hoodview and Gone Creek campgrounds, features 43 campsites in two sections: a tent-only loop for traditional campers seeking tranquility and an RV and trailer loop with spacious parking pads. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, a camp host on-site, and reliable AT&T service with spotty Verizon coverage.

Timothy Lake provides ample recreational opportunities with a day-use area, boat ramp, and dock, perfect for boating, fishing, and swimming. The Pacific Crest Trail and a scenic loop trail offer excellent hiking, while the lake is a popular spot for anglers, stocked with various trout species.

All campsites require reservations, with fees starting at $26 per night. Day-use visitors pay $10 per vehicle, or use a Northwest Forest Pass for free entry. To maintain a serene environment, generators are limited to the RV loop, and motorized boats adhere to a 10 mph speed limit. Stone Creek Campground is an ideal destination for both primitive and RV camping amidst stunning natural beauty.
