Ukraine reportedly received not-so-effective HIMARS from the U.S. According to the Wall Street Journal, the United States "secretly modified" the HIMARS it has supplied to Ukraine. In the "altered" version, long-range missiles can't be used by Kyiv to fight off Russian aggression. Moscow has repeatedly warned Washington against providing heavy weapons to Ukraine. Russia said that such an act is seen as crossing the "red lines" and directly involving the US and NATO in the conflict.
