Omar H. All is a historian of the African Diaspora and the Dean of Lloyd International Honors College at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. The author of Malik Ambar: Power and Slavery Across the Indian Ocean and Islam in the Indian Ocean World: A Brief History with Documents. He was co-editor of the three-volume series Afro-South Asia in the Global African Diaspora. In 2016 he was named The Carnegie Foundation North Carolina Professor of the Year and in 2021 was appointed as a Knight in the Orde of the Academic Palms by the French government for his work with teachers around the world.

Kenneth X. Robbins is a scholar and archivist collector. He has curated many exhibits and scholarly conferences dealing, with maharajas and nawabs in Indian history, paintings. photographs, art. religion medicine. numismatics. and philately as well as multiple exhibits on Jews in India. His book African Elites in India was the basis for a New York Public Library Schomburg Center for Black Culture exhibition, which traveled to dozens of destinations on five continents including, the UN and UNESCO. He has published more than 130 articles and co- edited or co-authored fourteen books including, African Rulers and Generals In India and African Elites in India. His work on the Deccan also focuses on Kolhapur and the Deccan States Agency as well as the Bene Israel and the Nawabs of Janjira.
