RG Kar Rape-Murder Horror: Doctors Meet CM Mamata Banerjee, Kolkata Police Commissioner Removed

Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced she had accepted three of the five demands from the protesting junior doctors. This includes removing two senior health department officials and the Kolkata police chief, Vineet Goyal. The north zone police chief, responsible for the area where a junior doctor's rape-murder occurred, will also be replaced. Despite resolving the main issues, protests and the cease-work will continue until formal orders are issued. Banerjee called the meeting positive, noting that both sides signed the minutes. She said that "99% of the doctors" demands were accepted, referring to them as "our younger brothers."
