Fly Fishing the River Taw

I say in the video that I spent 5 hours on the river but actually it was probably more like 7 with an hour for lunch! One of the things about recording yourself is that you can't "un say" things when you utter something stupid (this happens with an annoying regularity).This was definitly a day of two halves with fish rising for the first half an hour, then a real quiet spell, before another rise later in the day. Sitting here now I wish I'd stayed on for a bit longer, but then we always think that don't we? Really couldn't have asked for a better end to the season. Plenty of fish caught on dry fly, an Otter sighting, and finishing with a great scrap from a 12" Taw Trout. Perfect.
