When passing props in React, you can any data type as a prop – a string, number, function or even arrays or objects of data. Specifying the types which these props should have will give you the safety of predictable errors which you can catch early and understand easily. In this video I'll show you how to install the prop types package and how to declare the basic prop types for a sample button component. I'll also explore required fields and fields that expect a value from a list of types using oneOf. I'll talk about array and object types and how to define their types in more depth. Finally I'll show you how to define custom prop type validators.
