All living things require energy. There are two popular models that illustrate the flow of energy in an ecosystem, a food web and a food chain.
Within these models you have trophic levels. As you move up in trophic levels roughly 90 percent of the energy is lost as heat.
In this video I cover level 1 producers,level 2 primary consumers,level 3, secondary consumers, level 4 teritiary consumers, and level 5 apex predators.
In a food web the arrows always point towards the direction the energy is flowing.
