Alok Ulfat conducted a Workshop Inside Out at Cortona Week, Italy where various participants devised a play that was presented on the last day. The participants came from various disciplines and largely from ETH University. Alok has directed for Cortona week in Hyderabad India and Todi Italy.

Cortona Week, Italy is an interdisciplinary residency where graduate students and aspiring individuals from all over the world, from all disciplines come together (in addition to several critical scientists) with artists, musicians, spiritual leaders, poets, professionals in medicine and psychologists and politicians.
The aim of Cortona week, with the help of world known professionals and even visionaries, is to open up new horizon for the participants to the values of ecology, ethics, tolerance, internal introspection- and to the actual new frontiers of science, literature, art, economy – the full display of human experience – where life becomes a system view of interacting parts – and not an addition of single isolated domains.During the week, many experiential workshops, the participants paint, make sculptures or play music, take part in meditation and create theatre etc.
Alok Ulfat, a seasoned acting teacher, festival designer, playwright, and director, has significantly impacted the various arts over the past three decades. His extensive experience includes teaching at Film and Television Institute of India, the National School of Drama, Michael Hall School in England, and Solvik Skolan in Sweden. Ulfat has led workshops and directed projects across Europe, Canada, Southeast Asia, and India. His workshops, attended by over 30,000 participants—including more than 300 artists who have made notable contributions to stage, television, and film. Many of his students are now working in education, social work, and media for social change.
Alok Ulfat is also a trustee of Nanhi Dunya, "The International (Intercultural) Movement for Children and Their Friends," and founder of Nanhi Dunya Rangshala, Avikal Theatre Company, Alok Ulfat Centre for Performing Arts and Rang Himalaya Festival for Diversity and Earth Fellowship.
Alok Ulfat’s recent workshops ‘Discovering Yourself through Performing Arts’, ‘The soil, soul, and spirit of actor - Organic Acting' and ‘The Roots of Acting’ are well attended.
