Here, Max Hospital, Apollo Hospital, and Fortis Hospital are even included. In the beginning, these hospitals had capping on some medicines, so they started inflating prices on non-scheduled formulation medicines that are not controlled by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority.

Therefore, CCI started an investigation against them and they found results against Max Hospital.

Besides this, it was found that private hospitals buy medicines at a discount and put hefty charges on us. For example, in some cases medicine price is increased by 1750%.

Moreover, there are two types of medicine in the market; one is branded and one is generic. This will also be discussed.
