Kachemak Bay | Cook Inlet | Spring Bear Hunting and Trolling for King Salmon

This weekend we went down to troll Kachemak Bay for King's and check out the start of the Cook Inlet for spring bears. We camped in a beautiful cove which we checked for bears/bear sign, unfortunately we found ourselves at a North facing mountain and the snow hadn't quite melted enough for us to see any sign of bears. We plan on going back in a few weeks for better luck.

We used some of our canned salmon to make quick and easy salmon salad sandwiches for dinner! Greek yogurt, lemon, dill, and feta cheese!! These sandies were light, full of flavor, and so good!

After we spent some time looking for a bear, we headed back towards homer and tried some more trolling. No kings, but we ended up with four little black bass! Not what we were targeting but they eat up just as good! 🤪
