with how important love is throughout all the ghibli films, i wanted to capture the same exact euphoric feelings felt by the characters. to see the development from their first meeting to parting ways displays the unforgettable bonds between them. love in these movies is shown to be resilient and impassioned. even through obstacles, all these characters are able to triumph through the ones closest to them. i love how differently love is shown in these movies as they range from just a typical middle school crush to two people floating through a city. i aimed for this edit to feel grand yet intimate which is why i decided on making it the longest edit i’ve ever made on this account. this edit will always remain special to me as it was the one i was most excited to edit for this series. there’s so many ways to capture these feelings of love and i’m glad i was able to fully convey that through this edit.
