Children learn to speak and use language in early childhood and later they use the skills to learn when they are in school. Speech and language disorders are a major chunk of the communication disorder scene. in childhood. Speech disorders evolve problems with articulation, voice and fluency. Communication disorders are those disorders of the comprehensive use of language to convey speech. When children have these disorders of speech and language they have problems in learning in school when they are older this delay can continue into adolescents and adulthood and also lead to learning disabilities which is why early intervention and treatment is very important. Now let's look at some important language milestones a baby would start babbling and saying something by the time they're around to suck by 1 month old and by one year they're able to start comprehending simple commands. By 15 months finger pointing and saying something and two specific words is a language milestone that most kids are able to attain and by 18 months they are able to speak five to 10 specific words.
