In the first-ever episode of Flataway Chats, we sit down with Niluka Kavanagh. She is the Founder of ImagineThat - the Business School for Digital Nomads and Solopreneurs.

ImagineThat helps bored but ambitious professionals start their own independent online services business and work from anywhere.

After graduating from Oxford University, Niluka started her career at KPMG where she worked with blue-chip clients such as Mastercard, Tesco and LSEG. She created the first Behavioural Science Unit and was also Head of Communications for KPMG SheCan.

After a successful career in corporate, Niluka decided she needed a change - and an adventure.

She decided to experiment and see if it was possible to a) work for herself and b) work from anywhere.

Since then, she has worked on two of her own businesses, one a tech start-up and the other a successful online public speaking coaching business, where she helped over 500 clients globally improve their presenting skills.

She has nomadded in 7 places across the world, including Europe and Asia, and proved that it is possible to excel in your career while seeing the world.

All this led her to start ImagineThat, where she is on a mission to help other professionals start consulting or coaching independently online and gain location freedom.

Niluka has spoken on a number of panels and has lectured for Trinity Business School, Edinburgh Business School and London Interdisciplinary School.

Her articles have been published by platforms including The World Financial Review and Cambridge University and she hosts her own YouTube channel @BreakingBoundarieswithNiluka which shares insights into online business and digital nomadism.

She holds a BA Honours from The University of Oxford.
