Yesterday I created a method of attaching one bike to another using a Swagman fork clamp mounted to a substantial piece of wood (2x6) on the back frame of my cargo bike. After building this I then cycled quite a far distance to buy the green bike in this video. I got a number of Xtracycle accessories with this bike and the EVO handle bar with integrated cargo basket. Sadly the basket is a little too small to put Rocko in. I plan on swapping some of the parts over to my bike. Apparently the Xtracycle free radical kit and accessories are no longer being manufactured.

Note: This is a rough prototype that I plan on rounding the corners sanding and finally painting. I had to offset the clamp in order that the screws would not hit the frame. The screws are 2 1/2 inches long and very large in diameter. Offsetting it also helped keep the towed bike closer to the curb as I towed it.

The transporting 2 bikes method worked well but only if I didn't turn too sharply. The rear bike would start to fall over if I turned too much at a time. Thankfully I got home right before it started to pour rain.

Rocko stayed home in the A/C and was upset at me when I got back for not taking him along...lol
