info overload is about spiritual seeking in a postmodern world. isolated from any irl spiritual communities i could relate to, i used to rely on the internet to feel connected to something. grappling with my materialist (as in there's nothing beyond the material), atheist upbringing, the nature of global connectivity making loads of information available overwhelmed me and would send me into bouts of existentialism -- how do I know who's "right" when everyone claims they have the truth? and am i stupid for craving more than the seen when everything in my upbringing said there was no such thing? this angst resolved when i gained a deeper intellectual understanding of esotericism and i am now very perennialist in my thinking.
