South Korea is grappling with the spread of lumpy skin disease, now confirming the total number of farms with infections at 69.
How serious is this viral disease that affects cattle?
We turn to Professor Michael Ward this morning.

1. For our viewers who may not be so familiar with this particular disease, walk us through what it is and why it's detrimental to cattle.

2. This is the first time such a disease has been confirmed here in South Korea.
Where did it come from? Why is it relatively new to this country? Where else is the disease detected?

3. South Korea's agricultural ministry says there is a high risk of the disease spreading further if selective culling is carried out without inoculation. Is that so?
What's the best way to tame the spread?

4. Some animal protection organizations here in South Korea argue that the cattle infected with the disease should be quarantined and treated rather than culled.
Is that really a better idea to contain the spread of the disease?

5. Is there any way we can prevent the emergence of such a disease in the first place?
