Today we will feature 2 solutions aimed at those with low vision or learning difficulties. The Compact 10 HD with Speech and the C-PEN ReaderPen.

The Compact 10 is a portable magnifier that also allows the user to scan printed text and have it read aloud for them. This is ideal for students who require classroom assistance, magnifying text from a distance or converting printed text books into speech for example. The Compact 10 can also be used at home to assist with your everyday reading needs such as cooking recipes, medication labels and crossword puzzles. The Compact 10 HD Speech offers all the benefits of a desktop video magnifier, but in a much smaller, foldable, and portable design.

The C-PEN ReaderPen is a robust, portable, pocket-sized reading pen that reads text out loud with a human-like digital voice. ReaderPen is designed to promote independent learning and is a major technological breakthrough for any student suffering from reading difficulties such as dyslexia. As well as promoting independent reading this pen features:
– scan, store and transfer to a PC or Mac
– scan direct to the cursor on a computer
– a voice memo recorder
