This is a top class unit with the best DAC chips you can get, HDCD on PMD-200 from Pacific Microsonics and digital input. Additionally, you can up-sample signals to 24/96; both from Cd being played and from the external SPDIF input.
Pity, one cannot seamlessly switch between CD and input, for this would be great for comparing it to external transports or streamers.
Sadly Cary Audio Design has ignored my request for technical information about this player. I have also written to Australian distributor but as yet have had no reply either.
