*SteamWorld Build* is a captivating blend of city-building and dungeon-crawling gameplay set in the beloved SteamWorld universe, this game offers a unique experience where players must construct and manage a mining town on a dying alien planet while exploring its depths for survival.

The game begins with players building a thriving town to support their population of steambots. You'll construct roads, houses, and infrastructure while balancing resources and ensuring the happiness of your residents.

Once the town is stable, the focus shifts to the underground mines. Players repair and open a mining shaft to explore an abandoned mine filled with valuable resources and ancient technology. The goal is to gather materials to build a rocket and escape the planet.

Set during the events of *SteamWorld Dig 2*, the story follows Jack Clutchsprocket, his daughter Astrid, and a group of refugees as they attempt to escape their doomed planet. Guided by a mysterious bot named "Core" and assisted by an old trader, they embark on a mission to uncover the secrets of the mine and secure their survival.
