BEACHCOMBER'S PUNCH cocktail

Three dark rums up front with a tropical juice linger. Not sweet, and easy to drink punch. From Drinks of Hawai’i 1971. Comes in at 21% ABV.

MIXING NOTES: Reduce Herbsaint from 1/8 to 6 drops, as it overshadowed the drink. Original recipe called for Pernod and can be used in lieu of Herbsaint. This version omits the apricot brandy as shown in Beachbum Berry’s Grog Log. The rum choices are mine.

¾ Bacardi Black rum (Puerto Rico 80 proof)
¾ Myers’s Original Dark rum (Jamaica 80 proof)
¼ Smith & Cross rum (Jamaica 114 proof)
¾ Orange juice (made from Minute Maid Original frozen)
¾ fresh Persian lime juice
1tsp caster sugar
1dsh Angostura bitters
1/8 Rose’s grenadine (for color)
6drps Herbsaint Veritas (KY 90 proof)
Ninja blend no ice, all into cracked ice filled small mug, straw
