California Sherpa association Lhapso Celebration 12th Jan 2024

On February 12th, 2024, the California Sherpa Association Lhapso organizing committee brought together Sherpas in San Francisco, California, for a festive celebration of the Dragon Lunar New Year Lhapso at the Gyuto Foundation Gompa in Richmond. With an attendance of over 200 people, the puja ceremony was spiritually uplifting, featuring blessings from Sangye Tulku Rimporche. It was a joyous occasion filled with Chyangul, Desil, and Khapsa, followed by a delightful lunch.
Gratitude was expressed to the organizers through the offering of Khatas, and new organizers were selected for the upcoming year. The festivities continued with Sybaru and lively music dances, until 5 pm.
