How does a Gutenberg printing press work?

In this video our good friend John Sliffe demonstrates how a printing press would print a page of the Bible from the 1400s.

Johannes Gutenberg was from Mainz, Germany. He began experimenting in 1440. By 1450, he had a printing machine perfected and ready to use commercially: The Gutenberg press.

This reproduction printing press will be at the Tennessee Bible Museum for a few weeks. John is the Curator at the Enduring Word Museum in Weatherford, Texas.

Thank you John for demonstrating how the Gutenberg printing press works!
