Rev. Christopher Hembrom was born on 10th February, 1969 and was brought up in Gaurang Mission, Kokrajhar, Assam. His father Mr. Som Hembrom was a Pastor in CNI church and all were the believers of Jesus Christ except him. His elder brother Mr. Bonifas Hembrom (Feteng) was a famous Gospel singer and use to sing in Bodo language also. And in 1994 his brother was shot dead infront of his eyes and he could not do anything. Soon after some days his mother also passed away by this sudden incident. Rev. Christopher Hembrom was boiling from inside and he decided to take a revenge against his brother. He then took up the weapon and started as a reporter to loot people. In 7th July 1996 he formed a group of Adivasi militants (COBRA). He started kidnapping people, killing people and looting them using different methods. On 22nd March, 2001 Rev. Christopher Hembrom surrendered himself before the Assam Govt.

Then he started to lead a normal life and later on he went to Bible College in the year 2001 and started his new journey with the Lord. There he had a friend name Pastor Paul and he use to work in a library shop and his earnings was Rs. 1000/- pm. He was also sent for training in Kolhapur and there also he was beaten up by some people. There he made many colleagues and one Mr. Seth Kumar told Pastor Paul of Christopher Hembrom that he had a song lyrics of Adi mai vachan. Pastor paul then took Christopher Hembrom to Jhony Lever and introduced him and Christopher Hembrom told him his story and Pastor Paul discussed regarding the song and finally the song was sung by Christopher Hembrom, Jhony Lever and his daughter. Christopher Hembrom went to pastor Paul’s church for sharing his testimony. Then Jhony Lever took stand of him and he was sent to New Life Bible College. Christopher Hembrom was serving the church very happily in Lord. He was also teaching the slum children’s and sharing them the Gospel everyday and was struggling so much. Sometimes he stays hungry and full fasting for 40 days. Jhony Lever and his aunty use to bring and gift him clothes from foreign country.
In the year 2009 Christopher Hembrom returned to Srirampur. Satyanath Basumatary brought him to jaraguri at first for the program that has been arranged. Then next he and his friend Mr. Sujit Hasda went to Amritpur near Raimona as there was a program in the church and it was a successful program and at night they returned to Gossaigaon NELC for the church service. Again Christopher Hembrom went back to Mumbai for some months and from there only he was moving to and fro for the programs that was arranged in Shyamaguri, Atu Srirampur, Gaurang, Koilamola etc. Then on his next coming they planned to make a film PARIVARTAAN. Mr. Sujit hasda and Christopher Hembrom were always touch over call. Finally Christopher Hembrom came to Srirampur in 2009 and started his ministry here along with Nathan Murmu, Boney Hembrom, Satyandra Mushahary, Reuben Kisku. Mr. Boney Tudu gave him a place to stay and while staying in that place he got married to Miss Monalisha Murmu in the year 2010. In Gaurang they didn’t accept his marriage proposal due to baptism. Then his marriage finally took place at Joypur in the presence of 12 Pastor’s of all believer’s. Then he was going for the Crusade program to Jorhat, Sivsagar, Parkijuli, Nagaland. There prayer was to get a place near the roadside for Christopher Hembrom and finally the prayer was answered by the Lord. While staying at Mr. Boney’s Home Christopher hembrom constructed his house and their only POWER OF JESUS MINISTRY was founded in the year 2010.
Rev. Christopher Hembrom started his ministry in the state of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Nagaland, Bihar, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and in Nagaland. He was a man of God faith as he handover his life fully in Christ. On 9th June 2006 at around 5:30 pm he was anointed by the Lord Almighty for his mighty work.


This great servant of God was on his way to NAHARLEGUN after completing a healing crusade in the Arunachal Pradesh region(DAPORIJO)when his car met with an accident in the hill village of MURIMUGLI in Arunachal Pradesh at around 5:00 PM.
The police administration recovered their bodies(Four person)about a few hours after the incident.
