Tungareshwar Wildlife Sanctuary from Mumbai: Ride and Trek

Just an hour from Mumbai, Tungareshwar is complete package in itself — Offroading, Trekking, Birding, and of course real Leopards! I mean why would you want to miss that? It about 40 kilometres from Thane and about 52 kilometres from Powai, Mumbai. This video is just a glimpse into what you can expect.....in a short ride from Mumbai.

Once you reach the Shiva temple in the middle of the forest, you can either trek to the upper reaches of the forest or you can trek or ride to Vajreshwari or Ganeshpuri by taking the road on the left.

However, please DO NOT TAKE THE PLACE LIGHTLY during MONSOONS. In August 2018, the seasonal stream claimed three lives and stranded almost 60 people in the forest. They had to be rescued by the administration, but after 2 days!
