Pop star Lady Gaga has become the first person to pass nine million followers on Twitter. I've got the details next!

Hey monster fans I'm Brian Corsetti and you're watching Clevver Music. Yes the rumors are true Lady Gaga topped 9 million followers and it made headlines! She joined the popular website in 2008, with her first Tweet announcing that she was rehearsing for her smash music video "Just Dance." In the years since, the superstar has used the social networking website to put fans on the forefront of private photos, new song lyrics, and charity opportunities. Gaga recently Tweeted about how to raise money for the Japanese tsunami and earthquake relief fund, and has already raised over $1.5 million.

Gaga, who is topping the Billboard charts for the sixth consecutive week with her acceptance anthem "Born this Way," is now officially the most followed celebrity on the site. Justin Bieber is trailing in second place with just over 8.3 million followers.

Gaga, the friend of about 31 million fans on Facebook, has also broken the record for the most online singles sold and has over one billion views on YouTube. Absolutely Incredible!
