John Wayne Interview on Directorial Debut The Alamo (1960)

In October 1960, John Wayne sat for an interview with ITN's Tim Brinton at London Airport. The filmstar had just arrived in the UK with his wife, Pilar Pallete, to promote his directorial debut, The Alamo, in which he also starred as Davy Crockett. As well as discussing the film's budget, Wayne gave a sense of the scale of celebrations that had marked the US premiere in Texas.
