"The Gathering of Healers", My Jamaica Experience

I was invited to "bring my camera" as the only undergraduate student at Lincoln University to accompany my department chair, Dr. Kennebrew and 5 Masters of Human Services scholars to attend the Kromanti Language Conference conference in Portland, Jamaica to teach and learn the critical importance of language preservation. At the time of invite, I didn't at the time know it'd be my first premiere film, but I am happy to have now gotten my degree and completed this project.

Healers and human services scholars aim to protect at-risk communities from the impact of dangerous healing practices.
