Dive Description:
In this dive in the Malvinas Basin, we explore an erosive wall along the southern side of the Malvinas Trench. Starting at 840 m depth, we first observe life in soft sediments before ascending the wall. Along the way, we will study the animals we encounter, their diversity, biology, how they live, and how they interact with each other and with their environment. This includes examining environmental features through chemical, geological, and oceanographic observations, as we document how habitats and ecosystems change with depth until reaching 400 m.

En esta inmersión en la Cuenca de las Malvinas, exploramos una pared erosiva a lo largo del flanco sur de la Fosa de las Malvinas. Comenzamos a 810 m de profundidad, donde primero observamos la vida en los sedimentos blandos antes de ascender por la pared. A lo largo del recorrido, estudiaremos los animales que encontremos, su diversidad, biología, cómo viven y cómo interactúan entre sí y con su ambiente.
