The Wildlife Treatment Center at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine provides medical treatment and care for injured wildlife while offering veterinary students that opportunity to get hands-on experience with something other than a textbook while still in school. Although the teaching hospital spends thousand of dollars every year on the care and treatment of injured wildlife, the center receives no federal, state or local government funds to cover this expense, so donations are vital to maintaining the crew and the animals it treats.
