Greetings all! Let me preface this by saying that from the next video and onwards you will be able to see my cast history in the UI to better grasp what is going on. Unfortunately, during the time I was recording this Sennarth kill, I had forgotten to enable it but still wanted to upload this instead of waiting to record another kill, because there is no guarantee that we will ever get a clean kill on this boss...

I have been planning to upload a Sennarth kill video for a while now, but the problem is that this is perhaps the most hated boss this tier by all players and so far all our kills have been extremely scuffed. This kill is no exception, it is both a very bad kill but also terrible MW gameplay from me with so many mistakes. Yet somehow this ended up being a rank 4 parse at the time of writing this.
This video serves as a good reminder that sometimes a good parse is not necessarily a natural result of flawless gameplay. In many cases it is either the result of your team setting you up to get a parse, but sometimes it is also the result of a series of unfortunate events that cause that result. This video demonstrates the latter. Here for instance we had some healers die during the fight, which meant that their CD timers were screwed, hence that allowed me to pump more. Under these circumstances, if I played better there, my throughput could have been higher but you can't help it at times.

This kill is during one of our recent reclears where I was still adjusting to Sheilun's Gift and Shaohao's Lessons talents (and it definitely shows!). As I wrote in the previous video, for better or worse these two talents are just too good right now and nothing else can compete once you master them. Initially I thought that Sheilun's Gift was just a button to press before Revival and Chi-Ji to buff them and that's it. But the more I have played around these talents, the more I've come to realize that there is more than meets the eye, and good understanding of the flow of a fight is an important prerequisite to get the best out of them.

Certainly buffing Revival and Chi-Ji with SG is really great and important, however, based on what I've found so far from my gameplay is that finding good Vivify-spam windows in fights and making sure to buff these Vivifies with Shaohao's Lessons can be an extremely powerful way to pump hard. After all these buffs MWs have received, Vivify has ended up becoming our most spammed ability with more casts than any other healing ability, and it also hits for more than 100k on average depending on active Renewing Mists (resulting in about 19-23% of your total healing on average). Buffing Vivify with Shaohao makes a lot of sense but the obvious limitation is going to be mana consumption. Typically you require an Innervate during these windows, but there is another interesting method to bypass that problem, which I will demonstrate in my next video from our reclears this week...!

In this current video, however, you won't see clever uses of Sheilun's Gift or good Vivify cleaves. There are a lot of mistakes like delaying Chi-Ji a few seconds during first two applications and then not picking up good targets for Enveloping Mist to spread Enveloping Breaths, a terrible first Revival, and due to how fast we push the boss nowadays, some timers towards the end need some adjustments around our recent average kill times. The one Innervate I got at the end was also splendidly wasted. I also ended up holding Renewing Mists for too long which you need to avoid doing at all times. It is best to press your ReMs on CD even during Chi-Ji because the more of them you get out there, the more chances for them to spread around and give you better Vivify windows outside your celestial.

All in all, shameful gameplay, shameful display! At least I hope that watching that footage from a melee healer PoV gives you some food for thought on the things you need to pay attention at for this fight! As always, thank you for watching and I'll see you on the next one!
