I finally made it to Japan! Join me on my first full day as I explore the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto. I took the train from Kyoto Station to Saga-Arashiyama and then walked the rest of the way to the bamboo forest. Once inside, I found a random vending machine, beautiful fall colors, and a river where other tourists were enjoying lunch and taking boat rides. I decided to try Japanese curry for the first time and I loved it!
