India has successfully conducted the first flight test of its indigenous Integrated Air Defence Weapon System off the coast of Odisha.

The system was flight-tested 1230 hours off the coast of Odisha on August 23, 2025.

The multi-layered system includes quick reaction and short-range missiles, and a laser-based directed-energy weapon.
