Union minister of state for home Nisith Pramanik’s convoy was attacked in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar allegedly by TMC supporters. After this, BJP workers held a protest and clashed with cops. BJP supporters alleged that the WB police is protecting rioters who attacked the minister’s convoy. BJP workers retaliated by smashing bikes parked near TMC office in the town. A large contingent of police force arrived and kept the two warring sides separate. Reacting to the attack on his convoy, Nisith Pramanik said the incident showed the lawlessness in West Bengal.
