HOW TO PLAY FAST (or at least faster)

Описание к видео HOW TO PLAY FAST (or at least faster)

Rapidly traversing multiple registers on the trumpet requires crisp finger dexterity combined with a focused airstream and precise embouchure control. Herbert L. Clarke knew this, and I've liberally and literally 'borrowed' from his Technical Studies to create the velocity exercise that is demonstrated in this video over a range of three octaves. The hardest part of this one is to pass through every note without overshooting or undershooting, especially in the upper register where the partials are close together.

THE BRASS TACTICS 6/60 ROUTINE
This is the eighth in an ongoing series in which I discuss and demonstrate the exercises that comprise the Brass Tactics 6/60 Routine, in the process covering many of the fundamental aspects of sound production on a brass instrument.
