STORYLINE:
A dust storm in Dubai and other emirates in the United Arab Emirates on Friday reduced visibility.

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) in the UAE has issued a dust storm alert affecting some emirates in the UAE and reducing visibility.

The NCM warned that visibility may reduce to less than 2000 meters (yards) at some airports such as Al Maktoum and Ras Al Khaimah.

The UAE authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and follow guidance during the storm which is expected to last from 08:00 to 17:00 local time.
