August 18th was Never Give Up Day. Although I missed posting on that day, I felt it was still important to acknowledge.

Not giving up, or displaying perseverance, offers significant benefits for both mental and physical health.

Increased Resilience: It helps individuals adapt to challenges and develop effective coping mechanisms, which can be particularly helpful when navigating chronic illness or difficult life events.

Reduced Mental Health Issues: Studies have shown a link between perseverance, or grit, and lower rates of depression and anxiety.
Improved coping skills: Persevering through challenges can lead to stronger coping mechanisms.

Enhanced Self-esteem and Confidence: Achieving goals and overcoming obstacles through persistence can boost self-esteem and foster a sense of accomplishment. This reinforces a person's belief in their ability to handle future challenges and contribute to their overall well-being.

Increased Hope: Perseverance can be an act of hope, believing in the possibility of positive change and working towards it, says the American Psychological Association. This hope, when grounded in realism, can be a powerful motivator and a shield against despair, particularly when facing illness or adversity.

Physical Health:
