This is truly one of the records in this game.

I've been waiting for a run like this for over year, and to finally see this time on my screen feels surreal. Two years ago, I never would've imagined anything lower than a 2:24.6, yet here we are, with a 2:24.3xx knocking on the door. I've hit a handful of paces similar to this run, and I could not be more relieved to at long last finish one of them with a strong lap 3. Huge thanks to everyone who supported me along this journey.

I also think it's worth mentioning how important of a role Kaede had in pushing this track to where it's at. If it wasn't for his comeback, his competition, or his drive to improve, I would likely still be sitting at the 2:24.698 I set in July 2021. I'm glad I was able to be a part of his return and help test the limits here alongside him. This track would not be where it is without Kaede.

I'm not quite sure what to say about the run. It has basically everything I was looking for (THE RUN???) excluding some minor mistakes. The zipper turn lap 2 was average, and I'm sure I could've squeezed out a bit more from each of the shortcuts, but at that point I'm getting into 2:24.2xx territory. As far as the Jak strat goes, pretty much 10/10 execution for each lap. I couldn't have asked for a better figure-8 section, especially on lap 3.

Fun fact: Not even two years ago (November 2020), the best splits on this track were
48.216 / 48.058 / 48.161 = 2:24.435
