What to Wear for Visiting Angkor Wat, Cambodia?

Today, I would like to tell you what to wear while visiting the Angkor Wat.

First and foremost is to dress modestly. Both men and woemn should cover the shoulders and knees while inside the temple complex. So all of you should avoid tank tops, shorts and short skirts.

Secondly, wearing a sun hat. You can see, the sun is quite strong in Cambodia. It’s quite hot during the day.

We don’t have winter, the lowest temperature in Cambodia throughout the year is about 25 Celsius degree. So whenever you come, you need to protect from the sunburn. Always remeber to bring the hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.

Thirdly, wear the comfortable shoes. Never wear the flip flops or high heels, because the Angkor wat is quite large and requires a lot of walking. Sneakers are good choices, like me.

Lastly, bring a small backpacker to carry your essentials. Don’t take the large bags. They are not allowed inside the temple. It is also not convenient to carry a large bag to walk a lot in the Angkor Wat.

In summary, dress modestly, bring sun-protecting stuff and wear comfortable shoes when visiting the Angkor Wat.
