Calgary, located in the foothills east of the Canadian Rockies, has gorgeous scenery, festivals, and a wide range of fun and intriguing activities. The city is also well-known for the Calgary Stampede, which attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists throughout the month of July. However, while the Calgary Stampede is a terrific time to come, there are lots of other things to do in Calgary that aren't related to the stampede.
There are several more attractions, including a thriving craft beer culture, world-class inner-city parks, and much more. Calgary is a fantastic city to visit at any time of year, but especially during festival season.
