I curated the Pedal Power exhibition at the Museum of Oxford from 24 July - 17 October 2009. It was a photographic celebration of cycling in Oxfordshire - past, present and imagined future.

The History of the Early Bicycle was one of the events organised as part of the exhibition. It was a talk given by Douglas Pinkerton, cycle restorer and historian, in which he demonstrated how to ride a Boneshaker bicycle from 1869, an Ordinary or 'penny-farthing" from the 1870's and the Rover "Safety bicycle" from the 1880's.
