I picked up a PS2/PS3 component video cable and modified it to allow me to run RGB on both the PS1 and PS2. The key to doing this is you need to have a SYNC output which can be found on the composite video output. Opening the component cable A/V connector and soldering on a composite cable will get you up and running on any Sony PVM monitor. While I was in there I added S-Video as well, making my "frankencable."
