Once in a while, we get asked if we offer real mink lash extensions, and the answer is NO because, as cool and luxurious as it sounds, having real mink lashes is not cool at all for these three reasons:

1. Health Risks: Because they are real fur, they’re very difficult to get completely sterilized. This may expose you to dirt and bacteria, leading to infections or swelling in the eyelid, as well as causing allergies and blepharitis.

2. Cruelty to Animals: Mink lashes are often marketed as “100% cruelty-free” or “safely collected from a free-range farm.” However, animal rights organizations like PETA have revealed that these claims are often misleading, and the production of mink lashes involves significant cruelty to animals.

3. Quality and Maintenance: Mink lashes are very fine and do not hold a curl well. They also require more care and maintenance than synthetic alternatives, making them more expensive as well.
