The Madhya Pradesh police are once again under scrutiny... An LLB student is being beaten with slippers by a police officer, who is not in uniform, inside a police station. The incident took place at the Pichhore police station in Shivpuri. The student being beaten has been identified as Kshitij Pathak, and the officer beating him is the station's SHO (Station House Officer), Umesh Upadhyay. According to reports, Kshitij, an LLB student, had gone to the police station with his friend to file a report after a dispute between two parties. According to the victim's mother, the SHO was refusing to register the FIR. An argument ensued, and the SHO beat the student with slippers inside the police station and then arrested him for disturbing the peace. However, someone filmed the incident at the police station, and the video is now going viral. People on social media are condemning this behavior by the police and raising questions about law and order. We tried to contact the SHO for his version of events, but he did not answer our calls. We then called the police station, and the staff there informed us that Kshitij was intoxicated and was arguing and using abusive language with the SHO. Therefore, the SHO beat him with slippers. However, when we spoke to Kshitij's mother, she completely denied these allegations.
