In this video I am going to show you how to dop rocks. We are using a dopping station, dopping wax, dopping sticks, different stones, some water, and random tools to help with the lapidary prep process of dopping. The reason we dop rocks or minerals is so that during the polishing process, with whatever kind of lapidary equipment you are using, it is easier to handle. Sometimes the rough agates are a little small or awkward to handle or the cut and slabbed stones are too thin. This process fixes that!
