If you need a quick way to add a border to a photo but don't want to install or buy any third party software to do so, you can easily do so using the Windows Snipping Tool. It has a setting that you can use to add borders to pictures and you can also choose their color and thickness. You do not have to take a screenshot of your picture to add a border but can simply open the image file using the Snipping Tool and it will add one automatically.

As of now, this only works for the Windows 11 version of the Snipping Tool since it is different than the version that comes with Windows 10.
